Donation to National Trust
  •  Ms. Thilakam Rajendran donated Rs. 1 lakh vide cheque no. 488921 dt. 2-1-14 for addition to Dr. Lotika Sarkar Endowment Fund by National Trust for the welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities. 
  • Ms. Poonam Natarajan donated Rs. 7000/- towards the Award Money for Dr. Lotika Sarkar Endowment Fund for 2014.

Special Effort by SNAC-Kerala

Making Railway Stations circulating area accessible for Persons with Disabilities

JS&CEO had written to all the Divisional Railway Managers(DRMs) for making the stations circulating area of all the Railway Stations under their jurisdiction, barrier free and accessible for persons with disabilities and elderly.  DRM-Salem vide his letter dated 10.7.2014 has informed the status of amenities available for PwDs at Railway Stations under his jurisdiction.  Click here to see the letter of DRM Salem.

National Flag Off of Badhte Kadam - V

This year  Badhte Kadam – V  was flagged off from War Heroes Memorial Stadium Ambala Cantt, Haryana during the composite camp organized by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in participation of the Apex bodies e.g. NHFDC, NBCFDC, NSCFDC, NSKFDC, ALIMCO and National Trust. Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Sh. Jagannath Pahadia was the Chief Guest & Hon’ble Minister Kumari Selja, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment was the Guest of Honour.During flag off ceremony Assistive devices, loan, employment were offered to the Persons with Disabilities by Hon’ble Minister Kumari Selja.

National Trust has prepared the following procedure for sanction/support of request for organizing Conference/Workshop:
  • National Trust will consider sanction of 3 proposals for Conference / Workshop in a Quarter based on its merit
  • Priority will be given to cover issues related to National Trust disabilities
